Who We Are
The Team
Emily Campbell
Co Owner
Hello lovely people! My name is Emily. I’m an Oregon native happily working in the wonderful,
revitalized downtown Springfield.
As a busy working woman, I know it can be challenging to create time for self-care and to just
give yourself a moment. When you sit in my chair, I strive to give you that relaxing moment
that’s just about you. I want to help you get the hair that uplifts your confidence so you can
take on the rest of your world.
I’ve been a stylist since 2011, and in 2020 I got the opportunity and privilege to become co-
owner of The MotherShip Salon, alongside one of my greatest friends Allie, founder of the
salon. I specialize in seamless grey coverage, grey blending, and modern, lived-in haircuts.
I take great pride in the collaborative process with each of my guests to create a look that will
work easily with your lifestyle. I think it is important that hair should be easy AND beautiful. I
love helping my guests find what’s going to work best for them.
When I’m not in the salon, my partner and I love exploring, watching a good movie, and
gardening. We also spend quality time with his daughters and our two crazy cats who always
keep us on our toes!
Check out the service menu and online booking to see how I can help you discover your best
and most confident you!
Kendall Webster
Stylist
Hello, my name is Kendall. I grew up originally in Puerto Rico, but moved into the states when I was 16 years old. In 2020, I was living in New York City and decided to come visit a friend in Oregon and fell in love. It was the catalyst to me deciding to follow my dreams. I went back to NYC to go to Aveda Institute there and after I graduated my partner and I moved out to the beautiful PNW.
I had always wanted to become a hairstylist and was fascinated by the world of hair from watching my grandmother work her magic behind the chair in her salon. I love creating new edgy looks and helping my clients see the beauty I already see in them!
When I’m not behind the chair, my partner and I love taking our dogs on new adventures and discovering this lovely state. We love finding new places to hike and be outdoors in the great PNW. Please go check out my service menu and book online. I would love to help find and personalize a look that makes our excited and feel like the best you!
Alaina Ruch
Founder and Co Owner
Hey y’all! I’m Alaina or Allie if you prefer. I’m originally from Texas, but have called the PNW my home
for the last 20 years.
I’m a mom of two crazy, wonderful kids, so I know what it’s like to be spread thin and never feel like you
should take time for you. I’m here to tell you that you that it’s important to make the time! Being able to
to give yourself a little self-care makes life more relaxed. I’m here to provide you a space for that much
needed moment and to help you feel ready to be present for the people in your life.
I’ve been a stylist since 1998. After working in salons both in Texas and Oregon, I founded The
MotherShip Salon in 2010. When life as we know it in the world took a turn, I joined forces with my best
friend to become co-owners of the salon in 2020.
I love to help my guests find a look that’s going to bring them the most joy and confidence, while still
being achievable and fit in their lifestyle. Whether you are wanting a natural look or the latest fashion
hue, I’m here to help you achieve all your hair dreams! The best thing you’ll ever see is the change in
someone’s eyes when they are truly happy with how they look. That is what it is about for me.
During my week I can be found running after my kids, getting them to school or spending time as a
family with my husband and kids. To get my creativity out you’ll find me in my craft studio tinkering with
my latest projects. I love making all the handmade jewelry that’s featured in the salon and on our
website!
Kayla Perry
Hi all! My name is Kayla. I am a stylist serving the Springfield/Eugene community.
I take pride in serving people from all walks of life. As a mother of 2, I know how easy it is to push your hair dreams and needs to the bottom of that ever growing to-do list. That’s why I have made it my professional mission to give the most relaxing, individualized appointments. The relationship between my expertise and your knowledge of your hair is where the magic happens!
I love working with everyone. From busy moms that need a quick trim, to college students wanting to try the newest trends, to the professional woman that needs precision with dimensional color and a scalp massage to unwind after a long week. I am here for it all!
Fun fact about me….This is my second career! I am a previous business owner of 17 years working in the early childhood development field. In 2020 I decided it was time for a change. I graduated from Northwest College School of Beauty in 2023 and have been with the amazing crew of the MotherShip since! I have always had a love of hair and grew up doing perms, colors and blowouts on my grandmother and aunts. I have a heart and natural affinity for color, but along the way, I have fallen in love with the art of cutting. Each and every service I do is formulated and customized specifically for all of my guests.
When I’m not in the salon you can catch me hiking with my dog, reading a good book or traveling Oregon’s beautiful sights on the back of a motorcycle!
Check out the service menu and online booking so I can help you on your hair journey!
Absinthe Holub
Hello! My name is Absinthe. I’m a Eugene, Oregon native who’s passionate about all things hair and makeup. The passion ignited when I was in high school theater. I fell in love with the way hair and makeup could help someone build a character and transform their look. So I decided that I wanted to do it forever. I moved up to Portland to attend the Aveda Institute and graduated in 2022. I’m very into the creative process of helping someone find a style that suits them and their personality. I also love how artistic and imaginative creations with vivid hair color can be. The bright colors and subtle blending make me happy. Since graduating hair school and moving back into the area, I have continued my love of theater by volunteering at community theaters on stage and off, including styling wigs and helping my fellow theater members with makeup. When I’m not behind the chair or on stage, you can find me doing anything outdoors. I love hiking, camping and trips to see the ocean. You can also find me curled up with my two cats at home. Check out my service menu and book online so I can help out with our creative vision!
